porting 400 heads

I have an extra set of heads I am going to build and put on my motor. I was wondering if its worth doing the mild porting and polishing? I have never done this and I need some advice. I have a junk head to practice on. I have a die grinder and a variable speed dremel, what types of wheels do I need? Also what other things should I do to the heads? Should I shave them down?

Thanks

yes it's worth it but only if it's done right.

Me and a few of my friends have tried their luck at doing some port and polishing on their heads.

Most of them got less than half way done and lost their patience and decided what they had done would add "some horse power."

A full job will take alot of time but luckily not much money, my 400 heads took alot longer then I thought, and although I havent been to the track to see how I did I was satisfied with at least the apperance of the end result.
