Bronco isn't so watertight anymore!!!
After this weekend's endless rainstorms, I went out to my truck to find my passenger side carpet wet again. I thought I had fixed the water leak where the blower housing meets the firewall, but when I lifted the carpet, I found that the foam on the black piece of cardboard, located just under the blower housing on the passenger side, was soaked. Where else could the water be getting in on that side??
I checked the rear carpet in the cargo area and found that the edges where wet. Took off all of the plastic trim and noticed that my 2 large side windows are probably leaking thru the rubber gasket. Anybody ever had those windows leak?? If so, how did you fix it??

If the floor in front is wet it maybe from the top of the windshield leaking ,I had this problem on the drivers side.It would fill up in the trim inside at the top of the windshield and drip down onto the floor without touching the dash or steering wheel
and it started to rot the carpet,as for the back side windows have some one run the water hose while your inside to see if you can find where its coming from ,this should work for the front as well.

Look Under Windshield Moulding
Was horrified to see large rust holes under the moulding of the windshield of a late model F150. I don't know the year of your Bronco, but they were known to rot out just above the windshield on certian years. The F150 was known for the headlites coming on on their own and a brand new battery draining dry in one day- water was coming in the top of the cab and running down the windshied post and under the dash and into the fuse box and shorting out. Funny no one noticed the soaked carpet eveytime it rained?

If it is on the passenger side floor, and appears to come from the blower housing area, there is a good chance that it is coming in from where the heater hoses enter the cab, near the top on the firewall on the passenger side, under the hood. They used that sticky, tar like stuff from the factory to seal it and eventually it starts to dry out and pieces come off. Re-seal it with black RTV silicone, or the tar-like stuff if you can find some. It's used a lot in the home air conditioning trade, an A/C shop might sell you some or even give you enough to seal it. You don't need much. You can even pull some from junk air conditioners sometimes, it does not really wear out unless it dries up.
