If the rotors are pitted, get new ones. Otherwise sandblasting won't hurt them. Same thing for the calipers, if the bores are pitted, get new or get them sleeved (compare cost) with SS liners...won't hurt anything to sandblast the outsides..make sure you tape of all of the holes though.

SANDBLAST THE ROTOR????!!!!! Never sandblast the rotors.. Have it turned or replace it.. You sandblast it you will come to a sudded stop the first time you hit the breaks.. The surface is to be smooth and clean.. Sandblasting the rotor may also distroy the pads real fast..
I don't know if there is a proper way or not. I usually just wire brush the rotors, knock the big stuff off and then run them. The pads will clean them up pretty well in time. If you do sandblast I'd avoid the area where the pads contact the surface of the rotors..
