would shorty headers work?
Just wondering if a pair of shorty headers would work for my truck. it's a 1978 f100 with a swapped in 85 351w HO auto tranny. would like to find a set that wouldn't require much custom work. Are shorty headers vehicle specific? do they exit at different places? thanks for any ideas/advice,Ben

right now I am using the stock 302 manifolds that were on the 78 302 I pulled in favor of the 351w. I had to do a hack job to get the manifolds to line up with my exhaust because the 351w is taller. I am not running a y pipe,going straight out each side. true duals I guess is what that is called. I want to do the job right this time. looking for a set of headers,nobody makes a set for this engine/truck combo,was just wondering if I could find a set of shorties that might work. thanks,Ben
