I was going to install a gooseneck adaptor last week and noticed I have a very small amount of play in my fifth wheel kingpin, probably less that 1/32 inch and there appears to be a small crack clear aroud the pin about 3/4 inch from the pin itself.
What's the best way to repair this? My pin box isn't removable, it's welded to the frame. I had a professional welder look at it and he wants to weld around it with the MIG and then grind the weld flat. I think this should work fine but just want to get more opinions on it from some more experienced towers.
Thanks!
