Just installed hypertech 100hp

I just traded my old hypertech programmer for one of the new ones. They now have a 100hp setting, change speedo for tires and reads and deletes codes. I can't believe the difference between this one and my old one. I did notice that I am not making much if any boost durring "normal" driving when I used to be around 5.

Sounds good. It's about time Hypertech got back into the game. Did they change the name of the programmer, or is it still the PPIII?

I just got my new pplll two weeks ago. I also put in the tripple gauge pod from dieslemanor. They look great. I could not believe the difference in performance. The transmission no longer hunts for gears while going down the highway. What is your egts running at 70mph? Mine is at 650. no trailer. 01f250 4" lift 35in tires crew. shortbed. 4" fullboar exhast. The gauge is in the down pipe 2" from the turbo.

Talking

I have been running the PPIII for about 8 months now in my '99. It is normal to not run any boost in town. At 70 MPH, I run about 3-4 lbs empty. I run on +100 all the time unless I am pulling my 14,000# 5er and then I only drop back to the +70 setting. In the big mountains, my EGT's would get up there and I would have to back off, but empty or pulling a 9,000# trailor, I can leave it on the upper level and not have any issues with EGT's. I pull about 25 lbs of boost (waste gate disconnected) at WOT. The performance difference is incredible. It really adds some serious "fun factor" to my daily driver.

Enjoy it.....they work great.

You guys notice any change in fuel mileage with the Hypertech? Also, any opinions on how the Hypertech compares to the Superchips Max Micro?

Thanks,
Bob

fuel milage whent up a little. Very little. But that also may be attributed to the change of diesel blends.

I cannot comment on how it compares to other tuners. I have only the hypertechs..

The old hypertech number is 41029. I use to get about 3-4 miles better with it than stock setting. I just got the new one they have out I think the # is 41040. Not sure check their sight. The new one has way more power and the egts are about 90 degrees cooler. But the milage really didn't improve over stock. Stock setting I only get about 12.5 empty. With the new programmer its about13.5.
