HELP PLEASE !1 01 psd problem
i have a 01 f250 psd, and here is my problem, i started my truck last week, and when i started it, it started surging, idle going up and down, till i gave it some throttle and it stopped, didnt think anything of it, well today while driving when i came to a stop it started to do the same thing!! and it didnt want to stop doing it, making it very hard to drive, i pulled over looked the truck over, everything looked ok, tried to start it, and it wouldnt start, if i gave it throttle it would start, but idled all messed up again. can anyone shed some light on this for me.
is it the fuel filter? bad fuel?

O sorry Cam Postion Sensor Its located under the water pump on the front of the block.Has a 10mm bolt and wire connector.Remove bolt pull sensor out replace sensor install bolt start truck.

There is an Idle Air Control Valve on the back of the intake / throttle body.
Check with your local dealer. It is a part that fails regularly, Your best bet would be to start there.

actually guys thanks for soooo many replies, i found out that it was the fuel filter, (was clogged). thanks again for sooo many suggestions!!
