ok guys got a good one here. i 'm having a problem with with interior light blowing it's 7.5 amp fuse. it will not blow it right away. it make last a couple of days, are a week are two. it is not the map lights, but the door lights. any help on trying to solve this. i know it may be a naked wire some where. i have no idea where to start. any advise would be a great help..........thanks.............dawg
You need a wiring diagram so you can track the circuit from the fuse block to the light to find the short. You might want to check the socket first to make sure that nothing is wrong there.
Pull the dome light fixture out & note the wire colours.
You could pull the bulb(s) out for a while to see if the fuse still blows before you tear the truck apart tracing the wiring.
Touch the dome light switch once in a while to see if it is warm or hot.
Maybe Franklin2 has a link to a diagram?
