Take it to a professional and have it done right.
In my C6 pulling a trailer with a Extra Trans Cooler in front of the rad, I service the tranny every 2 years with just a pan drain and filter change/clean.
Every 5 years I completely evacuate the whole system convertor and all.
You have a 4cyl get around< i think you could get away with
Complete change every 5 years and a drian the pan every 21/2.
