Negotiating Power
When negotiating a price, do you have more negotiating power when buying a car from the lot as opposed to having them order one from the factory or finding one off another lot or to the dealer a sale is a sale even if one has to be ordered from the factory?

It all depends on what you are looking to buy. If you find a truck that has been sitting on a dealer's lot for a while, they will want to move that truck so you have some negotiating power. But when you order the truck, the dealer should give you a good price because it is a guaranteed sale. It won't sit on the lot at all. It all comes down to what you want and how much you want to pay. I'm not sure where you live, but one of the members here (1956MarkII) is a dealer at a Ford dealership in Rochester, NY and they sell under invoice on all their trucks plus you get to keep rebates. If you are serious about buying a truck, I don't think you can go wrong buying from him.
