I just got back from a nine day vacation. A bud and I were staying at an RV park and I was noticing the different trucks. People were in and out every 1-3 days but we hung for over a week. This was an RV park and everything, except the big busses, was a towed in trailer. If I was to guess I would say Fords made up about 70% of the trucks, with Dodge in 2nd, Chevy last. There were a few '05s, but ages were all over the map.
A few months ago I went for a long trail ride with a few friends. When we got back to the trailers we amazed at what we saw. 2 chevys and 14 Fords! Almost all of them F250s. One gal said this should be a ford commercial.
Yup, I noticed this during the last couple of years. I have a travel trailer and when you set up at the camp site and look around you see a lot more Fords than any other brand. Like was stated they are mostly 250's.
Ain't it the truth! I've camped next to many Fords that were bought after a bad Chevy/GMC towing experience. Working @ FoMoCo I usually ask people how they like their Super Duties for towing... "I wouldn't use anything else" is always the answer. Mine is great.
I live up in northern Indiana . Were they build RV's in Elkhart . 70% are superduties that deliver these new units . They say durability is why they use Ford .
