Hey guys... time for some new shocks!! I'm still rolling around on the stockers and there starting to leak.... Any sugestions for a 97 supercab longbed 4*4, I only do occational towing..... Also i'd rather not spend a ton of cash on them which means that billensten's are out for now... what do you suggest?? thanks
You might do some looking into the Heavy Duty Monroe shocks. I believe they have a Life Time warranty and are around 30 or 35 each versus the 65 or 70 each of a Bilstein.
You can get the Bilstein 5100's at Autozone for about $50 each and get the lifetime warranty. Roughly the same as the top of the line Monroe's...only better, IMO of course.
I didn't realize that those chain stores could charge what ever they wanted. I bought mine in pairs and they were $109 and change per pair including tax.

Unbelievable, here I thought I got a good deal at $64.95 each with no tax and free shipping. I almost bought the RSX myself but the guy at the 4x4 shop irritated me so I left. I'm glad now that I did.
cookie did you get yours at a local store or online? because my local autozone wants 70 bucks a shock
Got them off the shelf local, and appearently I got lucky and hit a sale or the price has gone way up in the last year. I just looked them up and they are now $69.99 ea. here too. When I bought them they were the same 49.99 as the Gabriels. I apologize for getting your hopes up, I should have re-checked before I posted.
Hey no problem.... I just found a site that has Rancho RSX5000 for 42 bucks a shock, around 180 total price with tax and shipping for all 4. Might go that way... so those are the same as monroe's hu?? thanks
