Some people just don't get it.

I have a 2000 F-250 4x4 PSD. All of the people that I've let drive it say it has no *****. They just don't understand!! It's a DIESEL PICKUP! NOT A RACECAR! IT'S MEANT FOR WORK AND PULLING HEAVY LOADS AROUND THE CLOCK! They assume that if it's not fast like their little rice burners, then it's a pale. I always tell the skeptics; "Wanna see where my truck shines? Let's have a contest. First we'll put a chain on your bumper...."

Well, thats one reason why I cant justify adding a chip and all the performance goodies to my truck. I have a 400 hp mustang, so if I want to show off some HP anTQ you guess which one I drive. Car for speed and truck to pull Unless you got a L

Is the truck an automatic? They are known for being sluggish. 7.3L PSD's peform soooo much better with a manual.

Well I know how you feel. These vehicles suffer from turbo lag and other elements. My truck weighs in just shy of 7500 lbs. But with my 4" exhaust, Diablosport Predator turned up to 100 HP and my Diesel Dynamics True Torque module plugged in I am 2 truck lengths faster to 60 mph than my former 2003 Honda Civic Si hatchback was with a cold air intake, chip and exhaust. And that is after burning out for 70 to 80 feet through the intersection after stalling up the turbo to 10 PSI of boost before the light turned green!!

But yes, stock the are not rocket ships, but that isn't why I bought my truck. It is just fun to shut the rice rockets down then they are on my right and I pass them with their windows down while it pouring out the black smoke.

Ricer burners want to sound like us! That's right, they want the turbo whistle that we have grown to love.

So I have a turbo on my 'Stroke - if I put one of these in will I have twins?

How about two - it's a large exhaust pipe - then I would have triples!!

Some folks will buy anything.

Talking Slow????

I run a SCMT and can hardly call my 2002 F350CC PSD DRW slow. We tow a 12000# 5er and it does great. last year in East Texas I had a clown next to me in a Ram Hemi 1500 towing an enclosed cago trailer, probably about 5000# and he was having a hay day keeping me in the right lane that was going to narrow down. He'd drop back and when I started over, he blast up beside me...35 MPH city traffic. Last light headed out of town and a long slight hill and the road narrows to two lanes. He jumped me off the line, but the hill took it's toll on the HEMI. He ran out of steam and I rolled on past him blowing black smoke. By the time I was at 65 MPH he was in the dust. It is not slow wne it comes to working....

the next door neihbors kid is an ok kid, but he drives one of those little 2 door 4 cylinder roller skates with a dual borla exhaust that is noiser than my 02 F350 psd. he likes to think he's got a hot little car, but he wasn't so happy when 6 inches of snow had him stuck in his driveway. i didn't even put my blue mule in 4x4 to get out. a little sport couple can be fun, but not for an everyday driver, at least not in New Hampshire...! but hey, i was young and dumb once... a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.....

The truck is an auto. I'm 21, and all my buddies drive little **** ant cars. From rice burners to Audis. I love being the only one with a SUPER DUTY. It's slow compared to the average vehicle, but it doesn't bother me one bit. The torque and sound more than make up for it. I strictly limit who drives my truck though. My dad is just about the only guy who is allowed (otherwise he'll whoop my ***). And you know what, I like the fact that my truck sounds like a school bus!

hey dd1684
just callin' the kettle black, ok? i mean, these cars these days are sooooooo small, you need one for each foot...! now, with gas prices soaring, having a little car that's good on gas is good, but as soon as you put one of those "growler" exhausts on em, the computers start dumping the fuel to keep the engine running, and there goes your gas mileage. And what did you gain? 8 horsepower..? 10..? please... these kids today really don't get it... oh well, it's their money...

I have an idea for a window sticker, it will read:"My diesel EATS Hemi's for breakfast..!"
Anyone want one...?
