Yea i'm going to have to agree with you guys, with a few mods these things can get up and go.... My truck has only a few mods... Home made tymar, straight piped duals, power pedal, and a 5.6K er on a switch... One day a ricer civic pulled up next to me on the way up a highway interchange, I decided that no ricer was passing me so on went the 5.6K switch and my foot graced the floor with it's presence. Since we were already going 35ish, the Turbo spooled up and off my truck went nearing the triple digit mark on the speedo, and no longer a ricer in sight!!.... My buddy has a mustang which is fast.... but something like our trucks with such a HUGE MASS has a totally different feel of acceleration, power and speed!! Powerstroke Amen!!

ALSO: Dockboy....Nice Rig man!! that thing is ***** to the Walls!!

IT'S MEANT FOR WORK AND PULLING HEAVY LOADS AROUND THE CLOCK! They assume that if it's not fast like their little rice burners, then it's a pale. I always tell the skeptics; "Wanna see where my truck shines? Let's have a contest. First we'll put a chain on your bumper...."
I had the same opinion by some when I first acquired my 2000 but after I woke it up with guages, intake, exhaust and a SCMT 1705, everybody loves to ride in it and listen to the straight pipe exhaust. Yes, they are towing machines but the feel of 7500#'s and that turbo spooling up is like nothing else when you mash it.

He is also pretty close on the $ figure I have close to $25K wraped up in the motor(s) and I do all the work.

Here is a list of some of the motor and drivetrain mods:

3 short blocks
Peened, polished, cryoed rods
Mahle Lower Compression pistons
Aftermarket Chrome molly pushrods
Ported and polished heads
Hypermax High Rev Kit
Fire ringed
Head Studs
BD DT530 injectors
BTS Dual HPOP
JNB High Performance Fuel system
SX Fuel pump and custom tank pickup
203* thermostat
Evans Coolant
Hypermax H2E turbo
AFE Stage II intake
TS Perfromance Powerfool 2 Nitrous
Snow Performance Water/Meth Injection
4" turbo back exhaust to 5" stacks
Custom Programming by DP-Tuner
BTS Tranny

There is much more, but that's the basic main things
Greg. I have never heard of Mahle, have a website??? I have been looking for these but never came up with anything.

maybe its WAY off subject but I know you were involed in the thread on TDS about CP testing. whatever happened to it???
and what ever came of the question of the lower compression pistons affecting CP's. No one ever did answer the question. I am just curious your thoughts on them, being that you have them.

You would be very surprised what some intake, exhaust and about a 70hp program will do to your truck.
I see those "Yeah it's got hemi" Stickers all the time,, I was thinking of having one made that says "Yeah Its Got A Powerstroke"..

and you could put one one the bumper that says"you've been STROKED and I'm STOKED"

Dockboy,
I loved the other videos as well. You have one nice truck. I am kind of thinking that my dealer would give me a few problems about my warranty if they popped the hood on my truck and seen all of the mods. that you have done. Maybe not though. Hee Hee Hee!

Diesel Rod,

Here you go

http://www.mahle.com/home.nsf/out/2....cument&,265033

The pistons I am running right now are .010 lower. I'm in the middle of doing some testing and programming with some CP measuring equipment so I won't have any answers or data for a month or so

Dockboy when I watched the video I thought I had seen pictures of your truck before, in the customer rides section over at performance truck products. Very nice! 1159 ft/pounds of tourque thats just flat out killer.

That's kinda what I thought you were going to say.

Be sure to let "us" know. I don't have the tolerance to read TDS much anymore....it's just gotten so, well, you know.
