Question Cat-back exhaust with Flowmaster

I need a new cat-back exhaust to pass my state's inspection test. I ordered stock cat-back pipes and a 2" Flowmaster 50-series offset/center muffler. Will this "kit" work? I don't care about power, I want it to sound great. They use a ton of road salt around here, so I'm going to coat it in a spray-on protectant. I also want to finish it off with a chrome, rolled edge, slash-cut tip. Any ideas where I can find one for a 2" exhaust pipe?

The 50 series is a good choice, not as loud as the 40's but with less cab noise generated. I would spray it with stove paint, very tough and resists heat to 1200 degrees. An "exhaust tips" search will find you plenty of tips.
Good luck.

I just want to spray it with something because it isn't made of stainless and they use so much road salt here in my town. I have rust spots I didn't have before the winter, it's awful. My Cragar wheels are all rusty. I'm thinking of buying a set of Cragar black Soft 8 397 series wheels and painting them every spring.
