Thumbs up I'm impressed

Short story: Yesterday afternoon my 03 with 49,000 miles surged, stumbled & died
And the dealer promptly fixed it

Long story: It died twice... Surging black smoke. Called the dealer, they said bring it over so I limped in. Unfortunately, it was loaded with quite a bit of building materials which I was bringing to a job. I get back to my office and take a Chev work truck (3/4 ton gas) over to the dealer and have to back in their service staging area and I unloaded the materials from the Ford into the Chev...Oh yea, yesterday I happened to be wearing a suit & tie

This morning I stopped at the dealer and they greeted me with a pleasant "it's done". Defective EGR (no one at FTE is surprised) EBP & VGT. Also, they did the latest re-flash which after driving about 60 miles today, I am pleased to report is great- Total cost $100 and I can deal with that- Got to love Ford's 100,000 mile engine warranty

Interesting words of wisdom from my 13 year old daughter when I picked her up with the Chev- She said where's our truck? Then when she got in said: This is ghetto! I told her it was a darn good work truck. When we got on the freeway she commented "It doesn't speed up- You know, put you back in the seat like our truck". She then smilied at me with The 6.0 Grin...Priceless!

I love that story. My 13 year old daughter loves my truck as well...but sadly, still wants a Ferrari when she turns 16.

This is my standard response...

t_j82...I have been hit with that scheme...For 6 months before my 50th birthday I kept tellin' my darlin' wife and kids that I really wanted a '53 Vette for my birthday....

Well...at least it wasn't a matchbox model. They did get me a '53 Vette model...even came from the Corvette museum in KY...door and hood open an everything...

Pay backs are great though...While we were on vacation on my 50th birthday...so I got a tattoo...against her wishes of course....it was not of a 'vette BTW.
