exaust size ??

I have got the money to invest into a new exaust system for my 79 f350 sc w/400 i do have 2.25" duals now so is it worth my money to upgrade and what should i look for,(size, mufflers, single or dual) I will still keep my stock manifolds ( by sugestion )also what kind of performance should i expect if any....Thanks

I would Go *true dual*, nothing real fancy unless that 400 will be pushing a few hundred horse then maybe go to a more performance engine. The stock 400 only puts out about 160HP when it's new.
1/7/8"- 2" maximum pipe size.

I agree with Mil1ion.

You definitely want to go with dual exhaust, and 2" is the biggest you want to go with.

I had that on my '77 highboy and it worked great.
