I have a gas 2004 F-250. As you all know my gas mileage stinks. Anyone out there ever try the Superchips Micro Tuner? I plan on using the 87 octane gas not the higher octane. I dont need the power most of the time, only once in a while, so I can switch the setting back when towing. They are $400, but at 11 to 12 MPG any improvement would be a good thing when gas is aproaching $2.50 rapidly.
I have used the their tuner on my 01/v-10 it was great, yes I had to use higher octane however it was worth it.....IMO.....no doubt some will disagree.
The extra power for pulling was worth the cost.
Have you tried using the regular gas? I am looking to save $ and I really dont need the horsepower for the most part. I just need better gas mileage driving around.
I did on my 2004 F250 with the 5.4L It did everything it said it would except correct my speedometer and improve my gas mileage...I got my money back for it. I spent the day at Super Chip with my truck whaile they tried to correct the problems...They couldn't but it was nice to spend the day in Sanford Fl. I only live 30 miles for the Super Chip plant...
