What I would do is rebuild the carb its easy buy a kit and it will tell you step by step how to do it.
Check out the front end jack up one side at a time and try to wiggle the tire to see if you can find any slop.
Up and down is balljoints side to side is tie rods.
Too bad you have the OD 3 speed its a POS.
A NP 4 speed will swap in if you want a real trans.
Rear window search forms lots of issues here.
But can be made to work.
If truck is rusty look underside were the seats bolt in make sure its safe before puting to much time into it.
