Questions for 83XLT
I am getting a 1983 BroncoXLT. I am new to the Bronco game and would like to know what the XLT cam standard with. I know that it has power windows but not much more.
Also this truck has some damage to the ign module (some one tried and failed to steal her) How do I replace this?
Whats the deal with the hubs Can I leave them locked all the time or only while in 4wheel?
The tailgate handle does not connect to anything. How do I fix this as well.
Thanks for all your help and pardon the ignorance.

Check the red link in my signature for answers to your questions.
The ICM/TFI module has one 7-pin connector and two tiny bolts holding it to the distributor casting below the cap assembly. Replacement requires removing the connector and bolts, applying heat transfer compund to the back (metal) side of the new module and installing the new one in place of the old.
The hubs can remain locked all the time without damage to the transfer case or driveline however, it will leave the frotn driveline connected to the front wheels which puts a lot more drag on the engine when you are not in 4WD so your fuel mileage will suffer. Thats why the selectable hubs are there.

MinnMan,
Rich (WheelMA1) is overseeing the finalization of the FAQ documentation. From what I understand it will be posted as a tech article and appear there when all is said and done. Hopefully the search will be something that can be incorporated but I'm just happy to have a "finished" document to present for now. I only hope I didn't miss anything glaringly obvious.
