Coming home from work yesterday I had the pleasure of smokin a regular cab big junk block 4x4 dually with my 2002 V-10 crewcab 4x4 dually. This bozo was playing with me in the left lane, moving up and back to try to get me to look at him. Of course i just didnt look. We got a red light and he is inching forward turn arrow goes green he almost went thruogh the light. So now his truck is about 8 feet in front of mine and I can see him looking in his mirrors at me,so I wait for the turn light to go out and wait to see green. I used to do alittle drag racing on a .500 tree and I used to cut .504-.510 lights so when I see green pedal goes to the floor. Needless to say I left him sitting at the light, I dont think he even saw me leave because by the time hestarted to move the V-10 was at 5000 rpms and shifting into second. He caught up with me at about 50 and I looked over at him and laoughed at him. He was tryint to get me to go top end with him but I know better considering I have 4.30 gears. By the way when it gets warm here I have a new sticker on my rear window that says Chevy An American Regurgitation
Right on fordv10, Funny how those guys in their inferior trucks always want to try and beat the TOP DOG in the pick up world. The Ford Superduty is in a class that everyone would like to attend. I drive the competition every year so I can see if they are catching up to Ford. I love Fords but I'm not married to them. If someone ever makes a pickup that I think is better than SD , I'll have a good look. Right now IMHO the V10 is the only gas contender in the heavy duty pick up market. GM has their push rod dinosaur, a pig on fuel and crankcase oil. Dodge has got the Hemi-rod , basically a car engine. Rumour has it that GM is coming out with a V10 and Dodge is coming out with a bigger Hemi. Meanwhile Ford just 3 valved the V10 and made a great motor even better. Take care, Wrench.

So he must've had a 454? What was he thinking? I really like Chevy pickups ( weird I know) but anybody should know the older big blocks are short on acceleration comapared to a newer 6.8L!! Guess he found that out today! Cool story!
At least he tried though. Most of the cocky truck guys I run into will show off or tailgate me for awhile. But it seems like when they pull up and see the V10 on the fender they decide not to risk challenging me. Which is funny becuase it's happened with trucks or suvs that I know could beat me but I guess they don't know what to expect from the 6.8L so they back off and play it safe.
I forgot to add this. It was a new truck it had the crappy Illinois temporary tags on it.It also has the ugly cats eyes front end on it.
Unless it was a C-K 2500-3500 it was a 6.0 which is a stroked and bored small block. It's a good motor, but not a V-10 Ford. I hate Chevy's new look, <GAG> it is just flat ugly. And don't tell anyone I said this but there are some chebbies I like, gross huh ? Ken
