I say prolly (probably), 'cause (because) it's (it is) quicker. I don't (do not) type correctly, and if there is a way to do it faster, I'll (I will) find it. Always looking for shortcuts...
Just joking around, of course, but I am curious about that proper text thing. I don't remember ever using that or being required to learn it in school. (That was a cool site, Dennis).
I never heard of capitalizing the first letter of every word, only the first word of a sentence, names, etc.
As far as peoples' writing goes: since this is a Ford trucks group, not an English grammar class, it's reasonable to expect some people here don't write well. I've seen several people who do write well, and it's easier to read their posts. But, there are some people (not here) who write very, very well, and yet manage to never actually say anything, at least nothing worth hearing.

The only time I use a quote is when I'm replying to a guys reply that's five or six replies back from where mine is going to be, just in case everybody already forgot what he said. Not to imply anybody here has a short attention span.
That's what word processor's are for, you do not want to be subjected to my typing if it has not been WP'd.
And I'm a writer!
I try to avoid overusing any forum feature, such as quote code or smileys.
For emphasis I like italics, all caps, or capped first letters is almost guaranteed to have me skip that reply or topic.
We all have our pet peeves when it comes to BBS usage, oversized signatures, with complex and large graphics is one of mine. Ever stop and think how long it takes for a thread to load when you're stuck with dial-up?
You guys probably just made a bunch of other guys feel silly and self conscious about their posts. Hopefully I write better then I talk. Even though I've been down here in Texas for over twenty years from New York, everyone says I still sound just like Sylvester Stallone.

Dennis, is there a way to add the spell check feature to the site. On another fourm, they have this feature and it works great. I try to make sure that I spell everything correct, I even have a dictionary on hand to look up words. However, sometimes when I take my pain pills, my fingers don't alway work right with my brain. Or is it the other way around?
What I usually do if I'm unsure about the spelling of a word is to open up MS Word, and either type in the word or highlight/copy/paste it there and use the built-in spell checker. It's quick and easy. I get the impression that vBulletin doesn't have a spellchecker in the program. -TD
