She's at it again! There's a pretty big cloud of ash and steam hanging over the mountain.. from what the news says it happened about 40 mins ago. Plume is over 36000 feet high
Lol- it erupted out of spite! I washed my car for the first time since September this afternoon.

Reason: misspelled word
I was on a job and saw it go off. It clouded up about a half hour after it started, so couldn't see to much after, but the plume looked to be traveling SE. You Eastern Wash. guys should be OK till the wind changes.
Wasn't as big as the main eruption years ago, but it still has some force.
interesting,.. im still wait'n for Mammoth to go off,..it was acting up a while back. CA is about due for another big Ol quake.... ring of fire man! I be think'n somethin big gonna happen somewhere along this side of the country.
When the cam is blank or black, its because it's still too dark.Try again during daylight hours. ( Either that or there's a glitch...I'll go look right now.)
The view I got this morning is clouds. It's snowing here in Mt, so I expect the weather over there isn't a lot better.
They're thinking of opening up Johnston Observatory to the public again. It's been closed since the small eruption last year, but the small ones they've had since have not affected observatory.
Hows the real estate market around old St Helen?
I'll bet you it is real hot! (LOL)Stay safe you guys, we still have some land left on the east coast if any of you mudslide, earthquake, volcano, survivors want to come out east.

When what freezes over? We left coasters take pride in building in places that defy the gods- it's part of the experience. I've lived here for over 30 years, and have yet to come across a Northwesterner that moved back East...voluntarily.
You guys on the left coast don't have to worry about nuthin y'know. Everything east of the San Andreas Fault is eventually gonna fall into the Atlantic Ocean.
Seriously though, is it supposed to blow itself to smithereenes?
