No power steering when cornering

No power steering when cornering
Just replaced the power steering pump on '89 F150, 300-6, 2 WD. Steering is OK now except when I brake to turn. Gets very difficult, then comes right back when I straighten out and speed up. Have bled air out of system and fluid level is correct. Any suggetions??

No power steering when cornering
that happed in my 82 drain all of the fluid and fill up with transmission fluid
