When I cook I make a huge mess. And wait till it bothers me enough to clean it up.LOL Other then that I can't stand a mess house.I love to be organized. If I let things go for a while I take a whole day to get everything back in its place.

I believe those ideas and thoughts on marriage really ONLY apply to the homes where the man makes all the income and works all day and the wife just stays home. Then, and only then do the rules apply.

Otherwise, if the wife is working also, it needs to be a bit different...ya know?

How much does each party have to give to make a marriage last?

110% from the husband and the wife....not 50/50.

110% sounds kind of desperate to me... (j/k)

People have different gifts - one person is good at this, the other good at that...

If it's a good match - they balance out.
If it don't - they end up avoiding the same gargantuan pile of dirty clothes (one example) until something must be done! Sometimes (for whatever reason) we decide this or that ain't no fun at all...

When that happens, it's helpful to make a game out of it. Among the better bits of advice I have ever heard is this one:

"If you're not having FUN - You ain't doing it right!"

That thought has held true and clear to this very day - and has made an adventure out of even the worst times.

I DO think that in a good partnership - the two partners reinforce eachother - so that one plus one equals more than two...
(I've seen that before, and envied it...)
