if you really want to hide them, and you won't need access to them alot,i say take up the corner of the carpet in a room,slide it under there,then put the carpet back down...or here's a thought..take an old radio or something apart,and hide them in there...then you have a storage device and a radio all in one :b
The REAL problem with this is, no matter how secure and encryped the file with your passwords in it are, you still must make them visible on the screen and also type them into your computer.
A simple screen-graber tool could be used to steal your passwords when you look at them. It's quite possible that the programmer of a worm/trojan/virus/etc can code his virii to check to see when ppl load these type of programs and to screen grab them.
Another vulnerability is when you type/enter these passwords into the software, a simple Key-Logger tool can be used to easily steal your passwords. Some Worms/trojans/virii actually key-log 24/7 as they run in the background on your computer if your infected, and monitor the keys pressed, looking for patterns that look like passwords (random numbers/letters bunched together) and flag them.
