My converter clutch is on its last legs & I'd like to replace the TC before it trashes the tranny. At 220k, I'd like to have the tranny rebuilt but can't afford it right now. It isn't slipping.
I'm looking for input on two things here:
1. a quality stock replacement TC
2. Any tips, caveats, tricks for changing it out.
I think you should rebuild it now with that many miles & a bad tc. You gott'a pull it anyways and when it goes you will loose your new converter & be taking it out again. Never trust a converter flusher its not worth taking a chance with a fresh rebuild. Now is the time you want to rebuild, before it lets loose.
my 2c good luck
