Has anyone ever grafted a 56 big window in a 55 or earlier truck. I dont know if the cab is the same shae and form. I have no problem doing the grafting work, its easy to me, but I dont wanna spend the cash on the section if it doesnt fit,
Thanks
Steve
check my gallery for an alternative just like me, cheap and easy
i saw that, pretty cool idea. Ive always liked the 56 wrap around style windows, but dont care for the front windshield area. I thought it would be cool to graft in the rear section but still look like a 55 earlier truck. ive grafted in sliding ragtop sections in my old VWs before and have the right tools to do it, but like I said, Id hate to buy a section and it not fit the cab properly.

not a purist eh Ryan? Well, there are support groups for your particular type of affliction, but I'll still talk to you. In ref to your rear window question after enlarging the window opening I cut out the lip where the original rubber mounts and rolled the opening flat. The glass now flush mounts from the inside and there is a neat little rubber gasket that I bought off a roll from soff-seal. If you are interested I'll see if I can get some detail pictures up on my gallery
