4.2L V6 Upgrade
I've been wanting to upgrade the Engine In my '99 F-150 For a while now. Within a few months will have about $4,000 to spend on new engine. Any Recommendation and include difficulty ratings as I have limited amounts of free time and it's my only vehicle.

I'd suggest a cold air kit, exhaust, maybe a chip...
swapping engines is a difficult task, and in your situation I would carefully size up your goals. With these newer trucks, its pretty difficult to find info, because it hasn't been done yet.

Update
OK I found a new GM 350 for about $2000 and I think thats what I'm gonna go with. Do you guys have any transmission suggestions. Preferably automatic, since I'm not really wanting to have to chop into my truck to make it a manual.
