Anyone know of a simple way to upgrade my engine to get a little more performance out of it. i have a 4 liter V6. something like more horsepower. i was thinking of a new air intake system. thanks
Cold air intake, headers, good catback exhaust will help the engine breathe much better. A computer chip (ie Diablo) will remap the way it burns fuel. You'll run Premium fuel and get more power with it as a result, it will also firm up the shifts with an auto tranny.
The chip will be most effective, just as long as you don't mind paying for premium fuel. The intake/exhaust will open things up for better performance at the higher RPM's, and help fuel economy a little too. These are some fairly simple bolt-on mods. What year is your truck, and just how much $$$ do you want to spend?
