Hey everyone. I just want to know the info about my truck. I searched, for hours(I was bored, okay) and couldn't find all of the info I need. Any help is appreciated.
From my 1984 shop manual, K is a C6 automatic trans, but I can't find a C9 code for the axle, and the 7K spring just corresponds to a ford part number E0TA-5310-ABA for the front springs and E3TA-5560-AJA for the rear springs. No spring rates are listed. Probably didn't help much, I'm sure someone here knows what another one of these mean.
I know for a fact that the truck has 3.73's, but I'm just curious as to if it has a rear Limited Slip. I think it does, seeing as how it lays 2 real nice black marks with no problem. I just want to know for sure. Thanks a lot Bryan.
C9 is a 3.55 geared limited slip Sterling 10.25 with a 6250 GAWR in the rear.
There's no way your truck has 3.73 gears unless they've been changed. F250HD/F350 4x4's came with only 3.54/3.55(depending on axle manufacturer) or 4.10 gears from at least 1980 until the Super Duties came out. Some 2wd F250 HD's slipped out with 3.08 gears in the 80's, but they're VERY rare.
