Holy crap, I thought my gear ratio formula confused folks.
Beemr, that's something we didn't consider in the apex, gear ratio.
Ya know, it CAN change the dilophmy of the kunditz.
I suppose if you divide the ratio of the diatrin into the circumfrence of the angled pucker you'll probably end up with a refracted angular influxed division.
So, you would tend to hold on tighter, ya think?
But that's the simple equation, I'll skip the details tonight.
. . . or you could just lift the truck, grab a 2x4x8, set it down on the tailgate and ground, slide it to the angle you want, and then measure. I'm just saying . . .
Do what I do just back up hill not so much the ramp angel is getting you leg and body up that high to clear the tail gate trying to push you bike up the ramp and not dropping the bike.
I ride a CR 250 and I tell you when you bike is half way up and the front wheel is in the truck and the back wheel starting to hit the tail gate thats when it's the pain you wqsh there was a hill.
I wish I would of had all these formulas before I lifted my truck. I bought some 8 foot arched ramps from Lowes thinking they would be good enough. Nope. I think I need a ramp like those u-haul trucks have, 20ft or so. BTW, I have 37inch tires and 8 inches of lift.
I been riding for many years to many to count, and had many lifted and stock trucks.
I also have a 7 foot arched ramp but back up to a hill or finding a dicth to back in to makes a life lot easyer loading and unloading the bike.
Or you can get one of those bike racks that go's in to you'r hicth that lowers and rasies it self I been thinking of one of those my self I don't know about you after a hard day of riding I sure dont want to be lifting that 200 lbs bike up that high.
I getting to old for that stuff Ha Ha.

Mine is more like 700 lbs. My next project when I get back home is to make one of them lifts. I haven't seen one I like yet nor do I want to pay 3 grand.
Hey, here's an idea I seen My Grandfather-in-law do. He dug out two wholes for his tires to drop into, and one for his pumpkin after he got stuck the first time. Worked pretty good. I know this is not a new idea, but it's a good one to remember. I'm lucky, I have a ditch out front that'a just right.
