That is why I put on the heavy springs on my old 92. I was in the habbit of loading the thing till it squat. Never could make it sag after the new springs.

Just a thought, if you haul that type of load every so often, they have the coil over shocks that help a bit.

 

I am pulling a fifthwheel camper and I have install timbren's ( rubber bags NOT air bags )on mine. Never had muck luck with air bags.

1300# load in bed just from the camper, plus firewood, chairs, etc.
Truck does not sag and the ride load or unloaded is very smooth.

What can you tell us about timbren's hollow rubber springs. How much? Did you do the install? How does the ride differ between loaded and unloaded?

 

If I remember right, they cost $160 installed ( $120 not installed ).
The dealer was installing my 5th wheel hitch at the time so I let them install the TIMBREN'S at the same time.
They replace your existing bumb stops ( 1 bolt ). on a 1/2 ton truck you leave out the 1/2" spacer and that gives your leaf spring a 1/2" before they touch. No change in the unloaded ride. If you would like to talk to me call 1-800-326-4949 ext/190 Mel S.
