The rivots are not any stronger then grade 8's also when you get your tuck all back together and something happens that you need to grind off or burn out the rivots you will be wishing you got rid of them. Believe me get rid of the rivots it will save you alot of headaches in the longrun espescially the rivots that once the bodys on you can no longer get to.

the rivots hold everything tighter and keep everything inline better.
I _would_ replace the radius arm bracket's and rear leaf shackle bracket's rivots with bolts. easier in the long run. Also, I'd probably replace the gas tank crossmember with bolts, since they go bad quick.. (at least on the 80s trucks)
I think that Ivan's recent rant on the wussified nature of this forum has caused lackluster response to this thread. It must not be cool enough for ya'll to reply to this mundane thread.
From all of the crap I see you guys doing in this forum, I can't believe that there isn't more stuff needed to trick out these frames/suspension...
You said you wanted to run 33s. I wouldn't mess too much with it for 33s since the truck will have no problem handling them. If you want to talk trick, I toy with the idea of swapping coils and radius arms on the back since they ride so nice, and provide more flex

I guess the only thing I'd add is make sure to seal and paint it when your done with something high quality like por-15...but thats pretty much goes without saying.
