craftsman b/c of their warranty!!! i actually have husky and broke one, took over an hour and a half to get it replaced at home depot...had to bitch and complain o the manager and he finally just went and opened a new pack and gave me a replacement. screw that. craftsman forever for all hand tools.
If the Lisle ones you are looking at, are they solid black ones? I have broken several of those. Several on Mustang seatbelts actually. I think it was either T-45's or T-50's. Never had a problem with the Craftsman, the one that looks like a two-piece bit.
Lisle's are good, but you have to mail them back for the warranty. As in another post
Had the Craftsman torx socket that the bit pulled out, I put it back in and finished the job. When I was done, one of the mechanics said that they kept ones as they wore for loose fitting ones, they fit sometimes in torx bolts that have been painted, without cleaning out the paint. I went home and compared the socket to a few that I had picked up at garage sales and the bases were the same. Placed the bit in the tighter fitting socket and sears replaced the others.
Three days latter, one of the other mechanics broke his Snap~on torx and borrowed mine to finish the job. It took him two weeks to get a new one (out of stock on the truck).
I will eventually get some impact grade ones for use on an impact hammer.
