I am getting my Tranny rebuilt and I figured I might as well get a shift kit put in. What would be the best way to go. My truck is built for performance so I am thinking of going with a stage 2, I have been told I will be able to get rubber when going into second no problem. Has anyone had one put one in theres? Any suggestions as to what is the best one for this situation? My truck is a 1984 F150 4x2 with a 351W, cam, headers, edlebrock intake and carb, and dual exhaust.
I installed a B&M shift improver kit in the vavle body of a 72 stepside I had. It was a 302-c6 set up, and I went with the stage 2 street/strip option. It worked great and even ran cooler when pulling my boat. Good luck.
