Hello I am new to this and hope I can get my question out correct I own a 1990 Ford Bronco and love it but the 302 is getting tired so I want to swap it with a 351 windsor and am wondering how much trouble I might run into doing this or is it easy??? any help, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Reason: misspelled ford oops sorry
never did it but i think it should go rather smoothly. From what i understand the 351 just has a longer stroke. They should all bolt up the same, perhaps different exhaust manifolds? This is all just a guess though. I mean they sell it with both the 302 or 351.
[B]Thanks atver that is what I kind of thought I am just wondering I just don't know to much about fords only have had the bronco for a few months was all chevy before that I will of course post a message once I complete the swap to let everyone know what I had to do and how it works as I just got the 351w from the local salvage yard and am having the machine work done right now to accept the 427 stroker kit I figure once that is done my bronco will be very nice with the five speed that it already has!!!
how many miles were on that old 302?? I've got 270K on mine and its origional. A little sluggish but still keeps up with the rest of em. I'm planning on new injectors this summer.
I was checking into doing the same thing and from what I understand it's pretty easy, some of the things that you would have to change is the flex plate and you might have to streach out your Y-pipe, the part where I still a bit confused is the ecu, there is alot of great info in here, so keep reading!!
A stock 351 wont give you a hugh difference over your stock 302/better torque less rev. I would build-up your 302 or stroke it. A 302 can make amazing power if done right plus its probably a little sporter to drive then the 351. I have a 96' 351 and love the torque but miss having a high-rev V8.
well unless your bronco is mass air equiped that 351w built to a 427 will not work. even with mass air you will still need that aid of a custom chip or tweecer to get things dialed in correctly. Now if you were to drop in a mildly built 351w with proper cam that would be a different story. also a 427 is going to require some serious fuel needs so 42lb injectors will be a must a 255lph fuel pump just to name a few. Not saying it cant be done but expect to pay some serious coin. do a search on here for 408 build. there should be lots of info there for ya.
302 is best kept in a car, trucks dont need to see such hi revs. and all that money you dump into a 302 wont compete with a 5.8 with heads, cam, intake, throttlebody and a good exhaust setup.
just a reply my 302 has 127000 miles on it but the prior owner failed to tighten the bellhousing bolts which caused a small crack in the rear of the block that is causing no problems right now just trying to get ahead before it does plus I have always been more of a windsor fan my work truck is an 89' f250 with windsor and has 358000 miles on it and still pulls it own weight everyday!!!
