So..as much as it pains me to do it...i actually put my truck up for sale today. Anyhow, i'm goin through the pictures deciding which one to put up...and suddenly i realized my truck was really small before it got lifted...anyone else look at their old truck pictures lately...isn't it weird...My truck doesn't seem all that big anymore, but then i compare it to the old pics...and what a difference
Its an illness. My truck doesn't seem that big to me anymore, either. Ivan and I were checking out some monster trucks at the show and realized that even they didn't look that big anymore. It was at that point that we realized that we were totally and irrevokably screwed...
So how many trucks do you have and which one are you selling?
Funny, yesterday I was looking at my old pics and came across the one when it was a 2wd. Even though my truck isn't huge, going from 2wd to 4wd makes it look more dramatic. Weird now things change over time
Yup, pretty weird. I'm sick of how little my truck looks to me now.
It's very sickening. I hate how everyone thinks how my truck is this huge monster and then I look at it and it's tiny. When I first started tinkering with it, it got bigger and bigger (you sickos!!) and since I was re-lifting it about every 3-5 months, I was happy. Now the truck's been where it's at for almost a year and it's really starting to bug me....time to lift it again. Flip the rear shackles again, add a few more leafs to the front springs, etc. etc. GAWD I'M SICK!!!!! SOMEBODY MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!!!
yea i can remember back a few years ago when my 39s seemed gigantic.... now they don't seem much bigger then 35 or 33's for that matter. funny how this topic came along cause me and a buddy of mine were talking about this just the other day.
any specific reason for selling it? i mean you put a lot of work into it! also, being the offroad mod and all that new truck is gonna have scratches galore on it since it will be wheeled, right?
It's bad when you look at a stock F150 and swear that it's a ranger when you're standing right next to it. It's happened to me more than once .
The pictures I have that really sicken me are when I had the truck lifted with stock tires, drove it like that about 2 weeks. It just looks so goofy.
The issue I have is that my truck with 35's looks like it should have come that way from the factory. I've said it and about 10 people have told me that. They knew it was big, but they weren't sure if it was actually lifted since it is so well proportioned. It just looks too "normal". The normalness of it rubs in after a while and stepping up 2' into the truck becomes common place. You also know its getting bad when you've fallen out of a car more than your truck. Just go to slide across the seat and step down, when all of a sudden your tail is sitting on the pavement. Or when you get in and bash your head on the roof since you're expecting to have to jump.
Then you get another person telling you about how huge your truck is and you kinda shrug and say, "Yeah, i guess." <~~~~THAT is when you know you have the disease.
When I do the SAS it'll grow about another 3", around 6" lift with 37's (4 with 35's now).

-cutts-
i've got to the point where i haul more people than i do stuff, so i really want 4 doors, and with school and work (i do both full time) i haven't got to go real wheeling in almost a year and a half now. And as i mentioned earlier this year, i'm planin on buildin a dedicated trail rig this summer, so hey...i could use a new tow rig........
Looking pathetic when I started yeah I can remember that it was a 2wd ranger with no running gear or engine just most of the body, and the frame now look at it not even the same truck
yeah, when i had my truck i never thought it was that big. all i had was a 4" lift with 33"s on it though. but my girlfirend's dad has a late 90's model thats only 2wd and the thing is tiny! before i got my truck i thought it was pretty big. and i used to think that all the stock trucks were pretty big and high up (some of the new ones are). but now everything seems small to me. all im wishing for is to one day have 49s.....
