I have been a ford man for as long as I can remember and just stumbled across this site last week when I was looking to price a '05 F-150. Wow, it is great to see all of the usefull information out there. My wife drives an '02 Explorer with the 4.0l SOHC V6, with a 4 and 2 year old it is perfect. It was the first car we had ever purchased brand new, and we were a bit nervous about that, but 3 1/2 years later we still can't say enough good things about it. We get it detailed once a year and it still has that fresah from the factory look & smell when we get it back!
I currently drive an '89 F-150 4x4, 4 speed, with the 300-6, It has served me well as a work truck (Residential Construstion), but the body is in real rough shape. This thing is geared like a tank and my fuel milage proves it!! I am hopefully within the next month be driving a '05 F-150 XLT 4x4, 5.4L. I was considering moving up to a 250 or 350, but I am going to get out of the "building" end of construction soon. I will be a building inspector soon and that will mean less need for more truck and more need for comfort as there will be a lot of windsheild time with the new job.
