Rear Axle
I have a 88 bronco 5.0 with towing package. The other day I crawled underneath it and saw a dark fluid above the back axle on the bottom of the truck.It has the typical clunk that alot of broncos do.Also in reverse something seems kind of rough. What is causing this ? It apparantly has been leaking for awhile but it hasnt changed much

BB 88 it would be a good idea to check your rear axle fluid. Both my 92 bronco and 85 f-150 have dark spot above the rear universal joint from grease being slung into the bottom of the underside(overgreaseing)(universal joints are geasible)theres a plug on one side of the axle and if i am correct it should1/4 below the fill line( differnt years might be differnt levels) check your owners manual or help in here from 1988 owners Good luck TR
