raising front end

hey guys, I want to raise the front of my 90 F150 2wd to match the height of the rear. What is the best way to do this? I was thinking of using the front springs out of an f250. Would they work? The reason I am doing this is for a little more ground clearance and to have more clearance for my new 31x10.5 tires that are going to be put on next week.

Using taller springs will work, but it will cause excessive negative camber this will cause tire wear and handling problems . If you very serious about lifting your front end, it can be done but it takes alot of modification, and fabrication. If cost is'nt an issue, I believe Fabtech motorsports makes a custom I-beam kit, but as I remember they were quite expensive.

I can't remember who makes it but there is a 3" kit out there that uses a bracket between the I-beams and the frame, so you don't need to replace the I beams, and it comes with springs also. Cost was between $200 and $250 or something like that, but this was about 6 months ago.

Oh by the way MrGoodwrnech, isn't negative camber when the tires lean in?? When you raise I-beams the tops of the tires lean out. Wouldn't that be positive camber??
