I Called Ford Tuesday And Requested The Forms. Then On Wensday A Lady From Ford Called And We Basically Got Into An Argument. Mine Being That To Roadforce, Index My Wheels And Tires Everytime The Nibble Comes Back Is Not Normal Maintaince, Nor Is It A Fix, It Is To Just Cover Up A Problem They Can Not Fix. This Is The Only Thing That The Dealer Seems They Can Do To Help W/ The Nibble. Ford Says Why Should They Buy Back My Truck Because Of This. Then I Proceeded To Tell Her The List Of Other Problems I Have W/ This Truck. She Said She Would Get W/ My Dealer And Get Back W/ Me In 24 Hours. That Was Wensday?? I Will Fill You In As Things Progress
It doesn't surprise me that you got into an argument with someone at Ford. I've yet to meet a competent Ford employee. Pursue the matter under your state Lemon Law as well. Good Luck.
Yea, I thought of that already- -I PAID Carfax for a search on my truck. There is nothing on it that shouldn't be(none of my services are there at all!). My husband talked to the service guy at the dealer Thursday (3-10) and managed to get a copy of one more service order- -now I have two. The guy also told him they couldn't get the steering rack replacement parts to fix the steering "nibble". . . . he says its up to the parts guys now. It's all very frustrating and dissappointing. teecee3
I don't think carfax was what he had in mind- that won't tell you anything you need to know. Oasis is what you need, I believe (Ford's internal system).
All I can say is that I won my DSB after a year of dealing with these issues. Once in a while a drive next to an F-150 and watch the back bed shake, rattle, and roll and thank God my nighmare is over and I don't have to deal with that irritating feeling anymore! I do like Fords and becuase they did the right thing I now have an F250 that rides much better. I can honestly say I don't miss my 150 a bit! I can honestly also say I like blowing the doors off the GM and Doge products. They seem to stare wishing and wanting...

How do I get there? Why would Ford let me into their internal system? teecee3
You can't as a consumer, this must be done at a dealership. Try a dealer different than the one you are presently involved with and ask for a complete vehicle history.
Your selling dealer is jerking you around- It's time to go somewhere else.
Not to sound pessimistic but no one at Ford will help you. If you read some of the other DSB posts you will see that Ford corporate is unconcerned and antagonistic about the consumer. At some point you will have to deal with the almighty "Ford Engineer" who will tell you that it is "within specifications" or "normal for this model" or "it's a truck and all trucks do it" What they are doing is delaying and stalling so you will do one of 3 things:
1)Go away
2)Trade your truck on your own
3)Get out of your initial warranty period
You need to decide for yourself how far and hard you want to fight it. My experience is like netguy's, it took me almost a year of hassle with Ford and the dealer before I won my DSB. I was awarded a full replacement or buy back with no milage/usage charges and am currently driving a 2005 F 250 that has so far been problem free. (knock on wood)
Hey netguy hows it going, still liking those Nittos?

teecee3, Your dealership holds a paper file on everything they look at and have done to correct the problems you are having. I suggest talking to the service mgr. or above to obtain these records. My dealership had no problem in showing and making me copies of these records. If you file a DSB you will really need to have these. There should be no reason you need to get into Fords oasis system unless the dealership is being completely uncooperative. If this is the case I would go to the dealership GM for some answers. I found dealing with the service writers (greeters) to be unhelpful since all they are is glorified sales people. Good luck.
The dealership can run an Oasis on the truck to get the service history.
As a consumer can you request and receive copies of the Tech. notes or log. I understand these notes may contain additional repair info. not noted in the invoice. Lemon attorney's get them in their research and claim a wealth of info.

I've met plenty of courteous, competent Ford employees. It's unfortunate that your experiences were all negative, but that certainly isn't representative of most Ford employees.
I've owned plenty of vehicles, both cars and trucks, from a variety of manufacturers, import and domestic, including Ford, GM, Dodge, BMW, Audi, VW, Honda, and Toyota. I can tell you that the service levels I've received from Ford are better than what I've received from Toyota and GM, and about par with the others.
I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another Ford truck, and would recommend my servicing dealer in a heartbeat.
Thanks to all of you for your help. I think I am being stalled too. They've had it 7 times(put 72 miles on it one time!) and it still nibbles and vibrates. I've gotten two service order papers so far-- - -going back today for more. I have kept a little book with all mileages in and out and what they said they did each time. I thought getting my 'dream truck' would be a happy experience. teecee3
I went back to the dealership yesterday and asked if they had my steering rack in yet. The service guy(Jeff) called the parts dept. and they said it was still on 'backorder'. He gave me a card with the telephone number of the parts place and the part number. . . .should I use it to maybe hurry the delivery? I still don't know if that will even fix the nibble and clunk in the steering wheel. I asked for copies of service reports and got one page that had the first service in Nov. 04. Service Manager Next??

tee cee it sounds to me like uhave the same problem i have. everything they are going to do to ur truck or have done to ur truck is not goint to fix the probelm... believe me i have been there and had everything... i mean EVERYTHING replaced that they are "allowed " to change pre the TSB i finally got fed up and in the process of "getting rid" of my truck... i would suggest the lemon law. lawyers say that the dsb is not worth ur time.
