E4OD Hard Shifts
I have a 94 F150 4X4 ,5.8, E4OD I started experiencing delayed upshifts, and very hard shifts, especially from 1st. to 2nd. At first it was very intermittant, but now its becoming more common, and its now shifting hard into reverse. It was just serviced about 1000 miles ago, I had the torque converter drained also. Any ideas?

E4OD Hard Shifts
The E4OD is computer controlled check the harness for loose plugs broken or frayed wires and corrosion. Bad electrical contact can cause higher resistances which in turn raises the amperage required to complete the circuit. This extra juice may be causing the hard shifts, since the trans has all electronic solenoids and not the old style valvebody.
