Has anyone here heard of a stroker crank for the 300? Anyone have any idea what would be the max increase? I figure if your strength is low-end torque, then go with it. Any of you who have ever driven an International I-6 will know what I'm talking about. 400+ CID 6's.
I have a 94 F150 ext. cab with AOD tranny, 3.08 rearend, and 220K miles on it. I get consistent 18-20 mpg out of it. I also just bought my daughter a 74 F-100 with a 3-in-the-tree, 300, and 3.35 front-loader 9" rearend. The 74 has a VERY solid body, in need of some TLC and paint. I was figuring to use it for a test bed before doing any work on my truck.
BTW, you HAVE heard that Ford is targeting a Ford-build Inline 6 diesel for 2007, haven't you? ;^)

I've never seen or heard of a stroker crank for the 300. The only ive ever heard of is offset grinding the crank .010-.020" to bring the stroke up to 4".
BIG sixes can be fun. Sometimes a get to drive a old International grain truck with 855cid Hercules strait-6
5.5" bore, 6" stroke, 5.5:1 compression ratio
It will run like a top on cheapest, nastiest gas you can find.
It will run on stuff that's barely paint stripper with water in it.
