Uh no, they didn't. The chain came off the sprocket first attempt and then it broke on their next attempt. They never finished the course. 0 points. You're right about their propulsion in the water. I don't recall seeing it mentioned at all and I watched the stupid show again last night. Shabby editing I guess.

And what was this about a V-6 ford, that sure looked like a 351/400m to me, I know the only 6 cylinder available in a 70's ford pick up was a straight 6 and that was no straight six, And what was this about we dont want to remove the 3rd member of a ford 9'' to make a lincoln locker, its the same amount of bolts to remove the dif cover as the 3rd member, I did notice the shivvie had a M/T Valve covers and a holley carb, and by the sound of it headers

I would have loved to have that Ford,it didn`t look to be in bad shape at all,it just rorared to life and they drove it out of a pile of crap. Then they abandoned it in favor of the Chevy, which incidentally also started right up.I was thinking the same exact thing when it started to overheat, why didn`t they find an extra fan so they could keep the one on the motor,or why couldn`t they just cut the lower hose and drop it in the water? Also, they kept saying the cherokee was a V-6 too,but they have straight 6`s.Ever see the British-based shows, there was one when they used a tiny english-limo about the size of an escort wagon, and they called it a "Monsterous Limo",if they think thats big,I wonder what`d they think about a Crown Vic PI versus their police cars!!!

some of those older cherokee's the small boxy ones had 4 bangers 2.5 gm iron duke, and the infamous gm 2.8, I think it was a 2.8 model...what a bomb

That ford was decent, short box too wasnt it ?

I too was disappointed when they gave up on the Ford and called it a V6 ??

I wonder where JYW is located, I got the idea it was in LA but with those English accents you'd think in England.

By the way, they took off the fan to prevent water from getting into the carb and dist, but they should have taken in with them because it looked like it was high enough or they could have sealed up the dist and run a hose to the carb.

Great show either way, just shows the US always wins!!! ;-)
