6.0L Warranty Claims

Does anyone out there have the percentage of 6.0L engines that have had warranty claims against them? I was told by the dealer, when this engine was launched the rate of malfunction was in excess of 10%. I would be interested to know if the rate for the 04 and 05 engines has changed much. Seems like the 03 were problematic but the 04 and 05 engines continue to have issues. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am told with the '05 that it is continuing to drop but they cannot say exactly how much yet. The issue now (so I am told) is that the current batch of problems are different with each vehicle (unlike the 7.3 which had comminality with each other) causing the techs to have to diagnose way more than before. I was told even with the same issue like stalling it could be a different thing with each truck which is frustrating the mechs and taking a whole lot of time.
That is what I hear so far after 3 dealers in 2 states......

I still think it is the darn computers being slightly off with each bad truck. Having worked with computers for years I can tell you it don't take much for one to go sideways, just one little flaw with the 0's and 1's or one little power drop/surge (microvolts) and "viola" bad data. I mean really, all it takes is one bad memory chip or circuit to hose the whole deal and they are a bear to find with just a tester box.

It would be great if they had a "known good" computer to patch in when these issues came up, or at least a way to totally reformat the existing one.
