I am working on a 91 ford ranger with the inline four cylendar engine. Does anyone know where the PCV is located? It's not on the valve cover and I didn't see it on the block.

The PCV is located on the drivers side, under the intake manifold. It will have a hose going to both ends of the valve. To locate it, find the black metal box mounted low on the block that is an oil separater ( about 2"x3"x2"). Coming out of that box will be a hose that goes directly to the PCV.

I think I located the box you're talking about, but it's on the frame. I can't even get my hand up in there far enough to follow the hoses to find the PCV, and it's impossible to see. Is it even possible to replace it without romoving the intake manifold?

Ranger pat is right! On my 94 Ranger it is located just behind the intake manifold (towards the rear of the truck) and it is of the inline type. The PCV on mine is gray, so if you see a break in the hose of about 1/2" with some gray, that should be it! It was the hardest thing to find on my truck.
