I've read that it is between cylinders on the driver side of the engine, under the throttle body area. I've yet to locate it on my escape but that is where it is supposed to be. I tried to find it once but it was too dark to see.
I look under the throtle body, it's a big hose going to the upper intake manifold. & it's hard to reach, unless you have to remove the manifold or the whole air filter assemmbly
