Replacing C6 for AOD ?

Replacing C6 for AOD ?
What do I need to hook up differently to get this trans to work? How to I power the OD seloniod, Can I just run a + lead down and run it to a Dash mounted switch? It's going in a 89 Ford 150 4.7 Six 4x2.
Any help is greatly appreciated..

A whole mess of stuff. you pretty much need to replace everything that bolts to the trans but the engine. as for the od if it isn't an aod-e then the od is hydraulically controlled. if you have a trans with an overdrive solenoid it is either an aod-e or an e4od. The solenoid might also be for a lockup converter. any way you look at it it's expensive and plan on dedicating a few whole days to doing it. any more questions??

If I were you I would keep the c6. for the amount of money you will spend you can probably get the c6 rebuilt and still have money left over. All the bigfoot monster trucks have c6's so they can't be that bad!

Thanks, I think I'll put in a used C6 how do these normally hold up with high miles. Mine won't shift and has alot of metal powder in the pan, she "gave up the gost". I'm hoping to get some use out of a good used one.
