Anyone have Gibson catback?

I was just wondering why I havent read about anyone using a Gibson cat-back. Seems like most of you guys are putting Flowmasters on your trucks. I put a Gibson swept side on my 98 Expo. I found the FTE website after I installed it. Now Im wondering if I should have looked into it further. I can say I dont have any complaints about it though.

I installed a Gibson cat-back on my 96 F250 w/7.5l and I am very happy with it. I have been running it now for about 2 yrs. Great top end power and great sound!

Hi Guys,

I intend to order a Gibson single swept side catback #319656 for my 94 F-150 302. I have a Bassani Y-pipe w/cat which ends with a 3" cat outlet tube. Does anybody know if the Gibson extension (inlet side) tube will direct fit to the 3" Bassani out, or will I need a reducer. Havn't found any spec about the Gibson tubing size.

Many thanks

Dieter

I have the Gibson cat back on my 2000 with the 5.4 I like it it okay, but I have always been partial to the flowmasters myself. A little research has showed me that they are good quality exhaust systems, just as good as anything else on the market, well, better than the cheapos of course, but ranks up there with flowmaster, dynoflow, and the like...
